Kate Van Dellen

Kate brings years of experience and works with students in a one-on-one setting to customize learning.

  • Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Calculus Instructor (2005)
  • Experience working with different abilities including ADD, ADHD, and dyslexia 
  • Pilot since 2003
  • Available during the day, after school, and weekends
  • Experience working with home school curriculum

3rd -8th grade math (arithmetic, fractions, multiplication, word problems, etc)
High school math (Geometry, Algebra I & II, Trigonometry, Calculus, SAT/ACT prep), College math (Calculus), Physics    

Ivy Vu


Ivy is a graduate from UT Austin with a B.A. in International Relations and minor in Business. She has experience in being an instructor in SAT English and Writing courses for the The Princeton Review in Seoul, South Korea. She has experience in tutoring students in courses related to reading and writing. She enjoys helping students understand difficult information into uncomplicated analogies while still incorporating fun and creativity into the lessons. Overall, she focuses on tutoring in a manner that is individualized for each student so they can learn and retain information in their best way.

Arielle McGilvery


Arielle is a current undergraduate student at UT Arlington pursuing a B.S in Biochemistry and minoring in Mathematics and Psychology. She enjoys helping others by volunteering, mentoring and being involved in campus organizations. She aims to make learning fun by engaging in conversation with students and providing encouragement. She looks forward to meeting new students and helping them form a solid foundation that will help them learn and retain information.

Liberty graduated with an engineering degree from UT Arlington. She is an experienced leader and has countless hours volunteering and organizing large STEM events. She is an excellent mentor and prides herself for explaining concepts step by step. She has enjoyed working with all her students and she has a talent for making learning fun.

Janet Smith



Janet has 15 years of experience as an educator. She holds a bachelors degree in biology and a masters in education with both a composite science teaching certificate and counseling certificate. She has taught the following science courses at the high school level: Chemistry, Physics, PreAP Physics, Biology, and IPC. She is passionate about helping students learn difficult concepts and become more successful academically. She has been tutoring students in science for the past 5 years with much success. The students she has tutored have been very pleased with the results, which include higher test scores and increased confidence in the content area.
